Actually, before Brock put together the new software, we had a chat room at the OLF. One night each week was dedicated to finishing issues, with other topics added on other nights as there was interest. If I remember right, it started out with a lot of activity but seemed to fizzle. It is hard to come up with a time that works for everyone as the OLF covers a lot of time zones. It would be nice to see the chat room make a comeback.
